I’m delighted to share my goals with you for this new year. I hope it will be a very productive and exciting year đ
If you haven’t set goals yet, I would like to remind you of 4 great reasons why you should set ambitious goals in your life
It sends a powerful signal to your subconscious mind
Your subconscious mind is an extremely powerful goal-seeking device. If you give it a clear goal to accomplish, it will do a far better job than you can.
Here is what Maxwell Malz, author of Psycho-cybernetics wrote about the subconscious mind
Your automatic creative mechanism is teleological. That is, it operates in terms of goals and end results. Once you give it a definite goal to achieve, you can depend upon its automatic guidance system to take you to that goal much better than âyouâ ever could by conscious thought. âYouâ supply the goal by thinking in terms of end results. Your automatic mechanism them supplies the means whereby. â Maxwell Maltz
It is a great way to empower yourself
By setting goals in all areas of your life you reclaim power over your life. You recognize that you have the power to create the life you want rather than hoping for good circumstances to come in your life.
Jim Rohn wrote:
If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.
It changes your present reality
By allowing yourself to dream big you start breaking free of your limiting belief and realize that you are more than you think you are.
David Allen wrote:
The value of goals is not in the future they describe, but the change in perception of reality they foster â David Allen, Getting Things Done
It is good for your health
One of the 9 common characteristics identified by Dan Buettner in his book “The Blue Zones: Lessons For Living Longer From The People Who’ve Lived the Longest” is to have a life purpose.
David J. Schwartz wrote:
Use goals to live longer. No medicine in the world â and your physician will bear this out â is as powerful in bringing about life as is the desire to do something. â David J. Schwatz, The Magic Of Thinking Big
Much more about goals in my e-book that will be release soon “How To Achieve Any Goal – Set Goals That Truly Empower You And Get Things Done” (title is likely to change)
