    • Thanks a lot Ian! It takes some time to build traffic from search engines. I will devote more time to SEO and SNS marketing in the coming weeks and keep writing more and more quality contents. Keep encouraging me 😉

  • Great video. Got me thinking:
The reason to set goals is to help you move to where you want to go. If you realize that a goal is not helping you, there is no reason to keep following it, just to achieve an arbitrary milestone in the wrong direction.
So I think a major advantage of setting goals is that you get better at setting goals. Good goals that inspire and motivate you and make sure you keep moving forward.
So I think this video is a big step forward for you…

  • Thanks Max. I totally agree with you. I used to be quite stubborn once I decided a goal and would follow through it even though it wasn’t really helping. To give you an example, I spent a whole year craming for the level 2 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test just because friend we challenged each other with a friend betting that the other won’t be able to pass the level 2 in the coming December. I ended up spending most of my days studying Japanese just remembering list of words and Kanjis. At that time I was already studying Japanese at university so if I had just been more patient and waited for about 2 years I would have naturally reach that level and wouldn’t have to do much effort to pass the exam. My friend was wiser than me and realize it wasn’t a worthy goal to pursue. It might be a great accomplishment great since I went from level 4 to level 2 in only one year but it was a stupid decision. Changing goals and adjusting them over time is indeed very important! I’m glad that I learnt to become more flexible over time.
